Art of Tula Doula Collective was founded in 2020 by Elyse Waugh after she quit her full time job to pursue her career as a Doula and Yoga teacher.
Art of Tula’s main goal is to create a community where folks feel fully supported in their Birth & Postpartum journey. We understand the importance of having an incredible support team as you go through one of life’s biggest transitions.

A Collective = A Community
Here at Art of Tula we have created a collective with intention. As birth workers, we understand that it takes a village to raise a child so we work in community with each other to provide our clients with the most fulsome service which meets their needs. We will often support families alongside each other as "co-doulas", use members from our collective as back up doulas for labour support and share knowledge within the collective.
This line of work is meaningful and demanding. Working in a collective format makes us better birth workers, keeps us physically and mentally healthier and ultimately improves the quality our professional lives and the lives of our clients.
