Lactation & Feeding
Lactation & feeding consultations are meant to give you the knowledge and support you need to achieve your feeding goals in the healthiest way possible for you and your baby.
Our certified Integrative Lactation and Feeding Specialist, Nikita, takes a whole person, whole family approach to assisting new parents with learning to feed their newborns.
Feeding can cause stress on both parent(s) and baby, which is perfectly common. Our lactation specialist will work with you to tailor a feeding plan that helps your family discover and overcome your unique challenges and needs.
Lactation & feeding support can be added onto a birth or postpartum package, or as a stand-alone service(s).
Lactation Support
120 minute prenatal education session and feeding plan - $125 + HST (in-person or virtual)

This session occurs ideally between 34-36 weeks gestation and aims to talk through your feeding goals and answer any questions regarding feeding you may have
90 minute feeding support session - $195 + HST (in-person or virtual)

This session occurs once baby is born and can take place in hospital immediately postpartum or in home

Session may include an in-depth latch assessment, positioning suggestions and any other questions you may have
120 minute prenatal planning session + 90 minute feeding support session - $300 + HST

Both services as listed above provided as a package to ensure continuity in your feeding support
30 minute follow up feeding support session - $77 + HST*

to be used as needed to assess feeding progress

*if this session goes over the 30 minute mark, it will be billed as an additional feeding support session for $195 + HST
60 minute solid foods starting support - $165 + HST

1 hour education session which includes a 6 month feeding plan tailored to your family's diet & information on introducing common allergens

support includes ongoing virtual follow-ups
Flange Fittings
Our Integrative Lactation and Feeding Specialist also provides in-home flange fittings - $66 + HST
Flange fittings are meant to help determine the size:

that is the most comfortable to the parent

which draws the most milk

which optimizes pumping sessions
Integrative feeding support aims to give you the knowledge necessary to begin, expand, and end a feeding relationship including nursing, pumping, supplementing, solids, and weaning.
With current recommendations in mind about exclusive nursing, our lactation specialist also recognizes that the health and adjustment of the person doing the feeding is not included in the current recommendations.
